VS6
Flat or conical.
One grinder.
Start with 58 mm flat burrs. Explore optional 63 mm conical sets, stepless adjustment and 500–1600 RPM control on the same platform.
THE INTERCHANGEABLE BURR SYSTEM
A different grinder.
Inside the same grinder.
One assembly. Two grinding geometries.
The removable assembly accepts VS6 58 mm flat and compatible 63 mm conical burr sets. Removal notches put the burrs within reach, making a change of geometry part of the design.
Stainless steel Supernova flat burrs come fitted. Optional sets use the same motor, speed control and adjustment system; follow the fitting guide, then dial in your coffee for the new set.
Changing the burrs
Switch off and disconnect the grinder before opening the chamber. Follow the manual for the locking nut, washers, springs and bearing. Clean the mating surfaces, refit the hopper to the zero reference and then dial in the coffee. A fast burr change does not mean the same grind number will suit every burr set.
Flat. Conical. Your call.
Explore the two ways VS6 can grind. Each uses its own compatible burr assembly; both give you the full variable-speed range.

Your starting point. A world to explore.
VS6 arrives with 58 mm stainless steel Supernova flat burrs fitted. Two facing cutting surfaces form the grinding path. This is the standard setup for exploring espresso and filter coffee with the grinder’s stepless adjustment.
Stay with flat burrs and explore the available geometries and coatings, or establish a familiar recipe before trying a conical set. The flat platform has its own dedicated comparison selector.

A new path through the coffee.
A compatible 63 mm conical assembly gives VS6 a different grinding architecture: a central cone works within an outer ring. Change the burr set to explore how another cutting path responds to your coffee and recipe.
It is a way to investigate the cup beyond a finer or coarser dial setting. Choose a conical set for the characteristics you want to explore, then establish a fresh grind reference and taste the result.
Conical burr sets are sold separately. Select a set listed specifically for VS6.
Choose a format. Then a burr family.
Compare only sets listed for VS6. Begin with 58 mm flat or optional 63 mm conical, then review each family’s geometry, coating and available measurements.

Establish your reference.
The VS6 starts with uncoated stainless steel Supernova flat burrs. Brew familiar coffees with the included set and learn the grind and speed settings you want to return to.
The wider VS6 collection also includes Supernova gold titanium flat burrs and a stainless steel Supernova conical set. These are separate options: the factory-fitted flat set is included with the grinder.

Another set. Another comparison.
Hypernova brings an iridescent titanium option to the VS6 collection, available in dedicated 58 mm flat and 63 mm conical formats. Choose the correct format for the setup you want to explore.
Compare the geometry and particle-distribution information in the selector, then bring the set into a recipe you know. A coating is one part of a burr’s specification; the cutting design and your brewing choices matter too.

Take the comparison further.
Hypernova ULTRA adds plasma-treated options to the range, with separate flat and conical assemblies for VS6. It gives you another configuration to investigate within the same grinder.
Use the dedicated selector to look at the available data for that exact burr set. When it arrives, record the set name alongside grind position and RPM so you can identify the configuration behind a cup you want to repeat.

Explore the DLC options.
Kilonova brings DLC-coated burr options to VS6. Choose the 58 mm flat or 63 mm conical set by its stated compatibility, then compare it within the matching format.
The collection gives you alternatives rather than a single compulsory upgrade path. Start with what you have, learn what you like, and change the burr system when you have something new to explore.
Variable speed
Change the speed.
Explore the response.
An adjustable 500–1600 RPM range gives you a second reference alongside grind setting.
The 300 W brushless motor gives VS6 a variable 500–1600 RPM range. The LED display makes the selected speed visible, so it can become a recorded part of your grinding setup alongside the burr set and grind position.
Once you know a coffee on one set of burrs, speed gives you another variable to explore. Keep the rest of the recipe familiar, compare the result and record the combination you prefer. The same control remains available when you change between flat and conical assemblies.
- Brushless motor
- 300 W
- Adjustable speed · RPM
- 500–1600
Keep the two controls distinct.
Grind adjustment changes the relationship between the burrs. RPM changes how quickly the rotating burr turns. Record both when comparing recipes, especially if you also change burr assemblies.
Dialling in
Find the setting.
Find it again.
Stepless adjustment and a revolution counter make a wide adjustment range easier to navigate.
The stepless dial gives you fine control of the working gap between the burrs. Each marked division corresponds to 5 μm of mechanical movement, while the revolution counter keeps track as you move through the grind range.
Those references make it easier to record a setting for espresso, move to a coarser brew and return to your starting point. Include the burr set and RPM in your notes: a number on the dial has meaning within that configuration.
- Mechanical adjustment increment
- 5 μm
- Continuous adjustment
- Stepless
Adjustment resolution is not particle-size accuracy.
The 5 μm figure describes mechanical burr movement, not a guarantee of particle size. Establish the zero reference using the manual and use the matching grind chart as a starting guide. Different burr sets and coffees may need different settings.
Dosing workflow
Considered,
to the last movement.
The dosing cup, outlet and knocker make the journey after the burrs part of the design.
Experimenting is easier when the everyday workflow feels familiar. The magnetic dosing cup locates beneath the chute, ready to receive your dose. Active ionisation needles help reduce static as the grounds leave the grinder.
The dosing tube removes for cleaning and includes a spring-loaded knocker to help release loose grounds from the chute. An 80 g hopper gives you room for the dose, while the single-dose workflow lets the next coffee have its own starting point.
- Hopper capacity
- 80 g
- Included dosing cup
- 58 mm
Why a removable dosing tube?
Being able to remove the tube puts a frequently used part of the grounds path within reach for cleaning. Disconnect power first and use the VS6 manual for the correct care and reassembly procedure.
Construction
Built for the bench.
CNC-machined alloy and stainless steel. A 130 mm-wide body.
At 10.7 kg, VS6 has a substantial presence on the bench. The hopper, speed display, adjustment dial and magnetic dosing cup sit within one working space.
A dosing cup, bellows, cleaning tools and TSU-1 resin hard case are included.

These are the published starting ranges for the factory flat burr setup. The chart does not apply to every 63 mm conical or upgrade set. Record burr type, RPM and grind position together.
The numeric ranges follow the written recommendations in the VS6 manual. Do not grind in the 0–1 exclusion zone. Use the manual when establishing zero.

How to read this chart
- Cumulative volume
- The percentage of measured volume below a given particle size. Use this view to compare reports with different interval widths.
- Volume per interval
- The percentage of measured volume within each particle-size interval. The interval width affects the height shown.
- D10, D50 and D90
- The sizes below which 10%, 50% and 90% of the measured volume fall. D50 is the median by volume.
Compare speeds using the same burr and setting, or compare available burr reports at the same setting and speed. Dial settings are specific to each fitted burr set. The figures and table below describe the selected report.
These reports use different particle-size intervals, so comparison is shown as cumulative volume.
Percentages are by volume. Dial settings are specific to the fitted burrs. These laboratory measurements do not predict a particular flavour.
