VS4 / KILONOVA DLC
Kilonova DLC brings a diamond-like carbon finish to the 53 mm VS4 conical range. Use the supplied measurements to compare it with the other sets, then refine your recipe around the coffee and flavour you prefer.
This set is an optional upgrade for VS4. Its finish and cutting geometry are part of the choice; a coating colour alone does not establish how a coffee will taste.
Dial in each set with the same coffee, water and brew method. Keep dose and yield consistent for espresso, or coffee-to-water ratio for filter. Compare sweetness, clarity, body and finish, then change one variable at a time.
The laser reports show particle sizes at the tested settings and speeds. D10, D50 and D90 mark the sizes below which 10%, 50% and 90% of the measured volume fall.
This set was measured at settings 3, 6 and 10 at 150 RPM. The supplied reports do not include tests at 200, 250 or 300 RPM for this set.
Use the measurements as a reference alongside tasting. Dial settings depend on the fitted burrs and calibration; the report describes the coffee and test conditions used.

These 53 mm conical sets are made for VS4. VS3 38 mm burrs and VS6 58 mm flat or 63 mm conical burrs are separate platforms and are not interchangeable with VS4.
