VARIA PRO MOKA

Rich coffee.
Straight from the stove.

Meet PRO Moka. A modern stovetop brewer for rich, concentrated coffee. Drink it black, add hot water, or make it the base of your favourite milk coffee.

HOW MOKA WORKS

Water below.
Coffee above.

Water goes in the lower chamber. Ground coffee goes in the basket. As the water heats, pressure pushes it through the coffee and into the jug above.

The result is a rich, concentrated brew. Pour a small cup, add hot water for a longer drink, or pair it with warm milk.

FULLY SEALED BREW CHAMBER

A sealed chamber.
A more even brew.

Designed to help water reach the coffee more consistently.

Pouring coffee from the black Varia PRO Moka

PRO Moka’s fully sealed chamber supports pressure during brewing and helps the grounds become evenly saturated. That contact between water and coffee is where extraction happens.

PHOTO-ETCHED STAINLESS STEEL FILTERS

Precision filters.
Ready to brew again.

Two reusable steel discs. Made for the Moka chamber.

The funnel and basket each have a dedicated filter disc with precisely formed openings. Remove the discs for cleaning, rinse away coffee residue and reassemble for your next brew.

COOKTOP COMPATIBILITY

Gas. Electric.
Ceramic. Induction.

Brew on the stove you already have.

Black Varia PRO Moka heating on an induction hob

PRO Moka’s boiler works with all four heat sources. For induction, check your cooktop’s minimum pan diameter to make sure it can detect the brewer.

Your coffee. In three steps.

01

Prepare.

Add water to the boiler and ground coffee to the basket, following the supplied guide’s fill levels. Keep the filters and seals correctly seated.

02

Heat.

Assemble the brewer and heat it on a compatible cooktop. Water travels through the coffee into the jug above.

03

Pour.

Remove from the heat when the brew finishes and pour to serve. Let the brewer cool before taking it apart.

USEFUL DETAILS

Everything you need
to get started.

Included parts, cooktop compatibility and care, all in one place.

What’s in the box?
  • PRO Moka brewer with a 500 ml twin wall stainless steel jug.
  • Two stainless steel filter discs: one for the funnel and one for the basket.
  • Replacement seals, including Yellow and Grey decorative seals.
Capacity and materials

The jug has a 500 ml capacity. This is the vessel capacity, not a Moka brew recipe. Use the water and coffee fill levels in the supplied guide.

Made with stainless steel, alloy, BPA-free composite materials and silicone.

Will it work on my cooktop?

Compatible with gas, electric, ceramic and induction. Some induction cooktops require a minimum pan diameter; check that your cooktop can detect the brewer.

Does it make espresso?

PRO Moka makes concentrated stovetop Moka coffee. It uses a different brewing process from pump espresso, and makes a rich base for black or milk coffee.

Cleaning and replacement parts

Let the brewer cool, then hand wash. Rinse away coffee residue and wipe off coffee oils. Use a mild neutral detergent when needed; dishwasher cleaning is not recommended.

Clean the removable filters and funnel, and check the seals before reassembly. Contact Varia for replacement parts.
