RECOGNITION

Original Varia Brewer
Specialty Coffee Association · 2021
Consumer Coffee Preparation & Serving Equipment (Non-electrical)
The original Varia Brewer received the Specialty Coffee Association’s 2021 Best New Product Award in Consumer Coffee Preparation & Serving Equipment (Non-electrical).
PRO Brewer continues that product’s exploration of different ways to brew. The 2021 recognition belongs to the original Varia Brewer; the current PRO Brewer carries the idea into its next chapter.
PRO Brewer / THE IDEA
Some mornings call for a familiar cup. Others leave room to explore a different method. PRO Brewer brings moka, press and pour-over into a modular brewing system, letting you approach the same coffee through distinct processes.
These methods work differently. Moka uses heated water moving through the coffee; press brewing steeps the grounds before separation; pour-over introduces water through a filter and bed. Choosing a method changes the role of grind, timing and the way you handle the brew.
A modular tool makes those differences part of the experience. Set up the correct configuration for the method, follow its instructions, and give that process a recipe of its own. The design invites curiosity while keeping the practical steps of each method in view.
Modular methods
Interchangeable components bring pour-over, French press and moka-style preparation into one system.
Each method asks water and coffee to meet differently. Pour-over sends water through a coffee bed and filter. French press uses immersion before separating the grounds. Moka-style brewing uses a heated lower chamber and a different assembly.
PRO Brewer gives those methods a shared product platform. The useful choice is the configuration: you assemble the parts for the method you intend to use, rather than applying the same preparation to every setup.
Use the PRO Brewer manual for each configuration’s parts, fill limits, heating source and assembly. Moka-style coffee is distinct from pump espresso.
Component system
A modular brewer works best when its assembly is clear.
The vessel and method-specific components form a different path for each brew. Knowing which filter, seal and chamber belongs to the chosen method makes preparation easier to follow and care easier to organise.
Before heating or filling, check the exact configuration against the manual. After brewing, allow the parts to cool and clean the surfaces that contact coffee and water. The system’s flexibility belongs with that method-specific care.
Choosing a method
The same coffee can become a useful comparison across brewing methods.
A pour-over routine gives you control through the pouring sequence. An immersion recipe puts emphasis on the contact between water and coffee over time. Moka-style preparation introduces its own heated brewing process.
Choose the method for the cup and routine you want, then start with an appropriate recipe. Keep the observations from each brew so a different configuration becomes a deliberate exploration.
Choose the format that fits the way you brew.
