Find recipes in Discover, keep favourites in My Library and sync them to ORBI. Connect compatible Varia devices and manage supported software updates in the same app, including AKU scale updates.

Connect your compatible AKU scale and manage its software from the Varia App.
The walkthrough below uses AKU Pro as the scale example.
Connect your brewer, build your recipe library and personalise the way ORBI guides your brew.
AKU features require a Bluetooth-equipped model. Available controls depend on your device and firmware; ORBI brewing controls apply to ORBI.
PERSONALISE YOUR EXPERIENCE
Open Settings in the app for your account and preferences. Open the connected device’s settings for controls specific to that product.
Manage your account, change your password and review active sessions. Use password recovery from the sign-in screen if you cannot access your account.
Choose dark mode or follow your phone’s system appearance, then select the language you prefer for the app.
Manage Bluetooth access for device connection, media-library access and push notifications. Your phone may also ask you to confirm these permissions in its own settings.
The supplied app design includes cloud selection, automatic sync, backup and restore, with history and logs available from the settings menu.
Find FAQs, contact Varia, and review the privacy policy and other policies from Settings. For a device issue, check its connection and software version before contacting support.
CONNECTED BREWING
From the coffee you discover to the guidance you see while brewing, ORBI’s app functions keep the recipe and the device connected.
Explore partner profiles, coffees and recipes for espresso, filter and capsule. Read the flavour direction and preparation notes, save a recipe to your library, then sync it to ORBI. Prepare the coffee and brewing assembly before following the sequence on the brewer.
Choose Guided mode, Show Graphs & Curves, Auto Ratio Assistant and Educational Tips to suit the level of guidance you want. Capsule Volume Presets provide a separate place to set your capsule brew volumes.
Adjust units and brightness, choose sounds and voice instructions, and manage Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection options shown for your ORBI. Quick Start Mode is also available in the device-settings design.
Device Settings groups calibration, the cleaning cycle, diagnostics and firmware updates together. Device Info & Data Usage helps you check the device details; reset and disconnect options are kept with the device controls.

Walkthrough preview
Start with the language you want to use throughout the app.
Allow Bluetooth when your phone prompts you. This lets the app discover and communicate with compatible Varia devices.
Enter your email and choose a password. If you already have a Varia account, use the login option.
Read the policy in the app and choose whether to accept before continuing.
Enter the verification code sent to your email. If it has not arrived, check your spam folder or use Resend in the app.
Once the app confirms your account, continue to the home screen.
Turn on your device and Bluetooth, then select Search device. This binding example uses the ORBI screens from the Varia App design.
Keep your device nearby while the app searches over Bluetooth. If no device is found, use Try again and check that it is switched on.
Choose the device the app has found, then select Connect. ORBI is shown in this design example.
The illustrated ORBI flow offers Authenticate with Serial or Scan QR Code. Follow the options shown for your device.
For the serial-number route shown here, enter the device serial number and verify it. Alternatively, choose the QR-code route in the previous screen.
When the app confirms success, select Go to device page to open your connected device.
Open your connected scale in the Varia App and select Check updates. If you already have the latest version, no installation is needed.
If a new version is available, select Download and install in the app.
Follow the app’s power check: ensure the scale is charged or plugged in before continuing. Keep your phone nearby.
Leave the scale switched on while the update installs. Keep the app open and the Bluetooth connection in range. The progress shown here is illustrative.
Wait for the completion message and the scale to restart automatically. Then reconnect and check the device is ready.

ORBI & THE VARIA APP
Find a recipe, make any adjustments and bring it to the brewer.
Browse Discover for a recipe pack, featured drop or individual recipe. Open the menu beside a recipe and select Download. Find it again in My Library under Downloaded.
Connect ORBI and open My Device. In Recipes, review the downloaded recipe and adjust supported settings. Tap Save and wait for the confirmation that your brew-slot changes have synced successfully.
On ORBI, choose Espresso, Filter or Capsule and open the saved recipe slot. Review the details, then tap Let’s Brew. Follow the touchscreen through coffee and water preparation and the brewing sequence. Slot Manager lets you reorder or delete saved slots within each brew category.
Cloud recipes require internet access. Device sync requires Bluetooth or Wi-Fi pairing.
Recipe sharing, flavour-tag search and coffee links depend on region, account status and app support. Follow the options available in your app.
